I started coding about 40 years ago, going from Basic to Pascal to C, including some experiments in 6502 assembler, setting up Novell servers, doing SPSS, but spending most time with (Turbo) Pascal on Macs. Anyone remembers that most macOS code (and all APIs) back then were written in Pascal?
After 3 decades purely on the heavy user side I got back into coding some years ago, when Swift and SwiftUI caught my attention.
I have virtually worked and coded on all Apple computers, including Apple IIe, Apple III, Lisa(!), Macintosh, Mac SE, Mac IIci, Mac IIfx, Mac LC, PowerMacs, Mac G3, iMac, MacBooks, MacBook Pros, iPads, iPhones, Vision Pro …
One of my most impressive experiencs was reading »Inside Macintosh Vol. I« in 1988, which IMHO contains the best introduction to Human Interface principles ever written. You can find a later version here.
